Party Time

We had a chance to revisit South Haven this weekend, and are getting excited for the celebration this October. Since we're in the process of ironing out some of the details we thought we'd take the time to give you a clearer idea of what you can expect over the weekend of the party:

Friday night-

Starting around 8:00, we'd like to have everyone join us in the Community Room at Sleepy Hollow for some drinks and catching up. If the weather permits, we'd like to close the night with a bonfire or two (with smores) down on the beach.

Saturday-

During the morning and early afternoon, you're free to explore South Haven and the surrounding area. South Haven is a quaint little beach town with plenty of shops, hiking trails, bike rentals, a maritime museum and, of course, a beach. For more information on the area, check out the South Haven Visitors Bureau website at www.southhaven.org. For those of you who'd rather just relax back at Sleepy Hollow, you're more than welcome. We'll have a handful of outdoor activities (beanbags, ping pong, croquet, etc.) available.

Dinner will be available in the Community Room from 4:00 to 6:00. It won't be a formal sit-down meal, but more of an eat-as-you-want set up. Around 7:00 we'll partake in more libations and some rug cutting till everyone decides the night is over.

Sunday-

We'll have coffee and pastries available in the Community Room before everyone has to leave.

All weekend-

Totally casual. Think of this more as a weekend long picnic instead of your typical wedding reception. You'll probably see me in jeans and a t-shirt most of the weekend. I know Willow is planning on wearing a casual dress on Saturday. Please feel free to dress as casual as you'd like. I think my dad said he'd be wearing a mu mu, which is totally fine.

We're looking forward to seeing all of you! Please don't hesitate to drop either of us a line if you have any questions.

-Mike & Willow

P.S. - Some of you have asked about a gifts. We want everyone to know that we do not expect gifts from any of you; your making it in for the weekend is the best gift of all. For those of you who still insist, we've put together a registry at http://www.myregistry.com/visitors/giftlist.aspx?sid=524221d6-30fa-46e2-bc3a-786cd5e0bb01. The password is HappyMessiers.

The Ole Double Windsor

We are proud to announce we got married today at the Cook County Marriage Court. It was a quick ceremony, no longer than 5 minutes. We followed up the ceremony with a few celebratory cocktails with some friends & family, at the Rainbo Club. After that, we were off to dinner at Alinea. Tomorrow, we head to Negril, Jamaica!
